James Stamper
Head Coach / Offensive Line Coach
James works at Delphi Electronics & Systems in Human Resources. He got involved with the Mustangs in the first season after hearing that
a team was being organized by Don Stradling. James initially got involved with the team because of his interest in football and involvement with several
local charities. James took over the team in 1992 when Stradling was transferred out-of-state. James was a 3-year starter at Kokomo High School and was selected
All-Conference & team captain his senior year. At Taylor University, James was a four-year starter at offensive guard and was named team captain his senior year.
He played twelve years of semi-pro football between the Kokomo Mustangs, Wabash Express and Logansport Lancers. James graduated from Taylor University and has an MBA
in Finance from Ball State University. James has three children, Alexis (16), Sarah Kate (14), and Abram (12).
Mike DeIulio
Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator
The Indiana Mustangs are excited to announce the signing of MLFN Hall of Fame Coach MikeDe Iulio. Mike made his minor league career in southern California
playing as a Quarterback and being Head Coach of nationally ranked teams. Coach DeIulio played for and coached the Orange County Makos and the So. Cal Steelers.
Mike Dee, as he is known to everyone, was 18-8 as a starting Q.B. and compiled an impressive 73-15 record as a coach. He is the recipient of six League Championship
Titles, 2 California State Championships and the 2003 Far West National Chamionship runner up. Mike has relocated to Indiana with his wife Erica and their two children,
Lou 4 and Brooklyn 14 months. Mike works for Federal Express at the Dayton Airport and lives in Richmond, IN We welcome Mike and his family to the Mustang
community and look forward to a great year!
Don Stradling
Receivers Coach
Don served as General Manager of the Mustangs for ten years. Don has managed to fill almost every role for the Mustangs from organizer...to coach...to player.
Don played professionally overseas in England with Kevin Armour and has been named to various All-Star teams throughout his career. Although not blessed with
a tremendous amount of speed, Don possesses the "golden hands" of a clutch receiver and an uncanny ability to get open. Don graduated from North Central High
School and Indiana University. With a degree in Marketing and Analysis, he works for Hallmark Cards, Inc. Don and his wife, Chandra are independent distributors
of Herbalife. Don and Chandra have two children, Alex (12) and Adele (7). The Stradling reside in Carmel.
Kevin Armour
Offensive Assistant / Special Teams Coach
Kevin is returning once again this year as an offensive assistant. Kevin has had several positions with the Mustangs over the past
fifteen years from quarterback to assistant coach. In 1988, Kevin had a brief professional career in England with the Luton Flyers where
he was teamed up with Mustangs' Receivers Coach, Don Stradling. Kevin is a representative to Team U.S.A. since its inception. In 1992
Kevin's career was abruptly shortened when he broke his hip in an AFA All-Star game in Florida. Kevin was named AFA player-of-the-year in 1992.
Kevin has played on numerous All-Star teams during his stellar career as quarterback and was selected to the AFA Hall of Fame in 1996.
Kevin played at Secina H.S. and attended St. Joseph College. He owns and operates Kevin Armour Construction. Kevin is single and lives
in Indianpolis. Kevin is the proud father of a future quarterback named Justin Ty (3).
Guy Trobaugh
Defensive Line Coach
Guy is beginning his fifth season as a Mustangs defensive coach. Guy played football at Kokomo H.S. as well as four years at Manchester College.
Following graduation, Guy initially joined the Mustangs as a player at the conclusion of the 1994 season. In 1996, Guy became a starter at
defensive end and eventually became an all-conference player. Unfortunately, he had an injury at the begninning of 2002 which required surgery
and forced him off the playing field and into a coaching role. We are excited to have Guy back for a fifthe season and the Mustang defense
should be among the top in the MCFL. Guy resides in Kokomo with his wife Jenny. Guy works as a police officer for the Kokomo Police Department.
He and Jenny have two boys, Nathan (5) and Thomas (3).
Dean Johnson
Defensive Backs Coach
Dean Johnson is the newest member of the Mustang's coaching staff although Dean is no stranger to Mustang football.
Dean started with the team as a player in 1991 where he became an all conference defensive back while playing from 1991 - 1997.
Dean also played a season with the defunct Indianapolis Tornadoes. Dean played high school football at Crispus Attucks and went
onto play at Central State University. Dean will bring a competitive spirit, an attention to detail and a strong desire to help
coach young players into tough, quality people. Dean enjoys golf, softball, boating, traveling and he serves as the vice chairperson
of deacon ministry at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Dean is an administrative manager for Zepp Mfg in Indianapolis. He and
his wife Danita have two daughters, Arlean (24) and Gwen (17) and one son, Dean, Jr. (23) who is following in his dad's footsteps as a
player for the Mustangs and one grand daughter, Arnya (5).
