This season the league has also added Calvin Hughes of the Ohio Swarm as an Honorary Member. A tenacious athlete known as much for his heart as his exemplary performance on the field for the Swarm, Hughes passed away during the 2007 season.

The league's most prestigious award annually is the Most Valuable Player of the Year and this year it was awarded to Reggie Eubanks of the Detroit Ravens. Eubanks helped the Ravens win the MCFL championship averaged over 100 receiving yards per game while ranking among the league leaders in receptions, receiving yards, and scoring. Two-time MCFL MVP Robert Hunt of the Detroit Seminoles was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year. Hunt directed the league’s highest-scoring offense by leading the MCFL in passing yards, touchdowns, and total offense. Jay Woods, middle linebacker for the Detroit Ravens, was named Defensive Player of the Year. Woods, known as one of the hardest hitters league-wide, anchored a defense that recorded five shutouts on the season.

Rich Dial, Head Coach of the Cleveland Lions, was recognized as the 2007 Coach of the Year. Dial won the award for the fifth time after leading the Lions to a 6-1 MCFL regular season mark. The league's Top Executive was awarded to Ron Blevins of the Detroit Ravens. Under Blevins’ guidance, the Ravens won the league title in their first year in the MCFL and were just as successful promoting the team off the field.

"Our league takes a lot of pride in our record keeping, statistics and player recognition. On behalf of the league and its owners, we take great satisfaction in recognizing the athletic achievements of our players, and we really appreciate the efforts they put forth each week on the field," remarked Pete White, President. White went on to explain the process used to identify the league's top players. The league receives player nominations by position from each team owner. This information is then consolidated into a ballot by position, and each team votes for players by position although each team is prohibited from voting for players from their team. A mathematical model identifies the highest-ranked players by position. The committee also tries to ensure that all teams are appropriately recognized and the selections are weighted based on the team's success each year.
